The PLM Department of Unitsky String Technologies Co., which is responsible for the product life cycle, organised a meeting of experts from Dassault Systèmes and IGA Technologies with the heads of design bureaux «Engineering Calculations» and «Construction Structures Calculations». They were discussing the implementation of the Abaqus Unified FEA package by Dassault Systèmes.
The SkyWay specialists use tools from different suppliers to model parts of designed products. In practice, this can reduce efficiency and increase costs. Therefore, at Unitsky String Technologies Co. there is an interest in developing the 3DExperience platform through the Abaqus Unified FEA product package. This software will help accelerate the assessment of performance, reliability and safety of materials before physical prototyping.
With the help of Abaqus Unified FEA product package, the specialists of Unitsky String Technologies Co. will be able to use complex solutions for a wide range of engineering calculations: full load of SkyWay vehicles, dynamic vibrations, multi-module systems, impact and accident consequences, to carry out non-linear static analysis and determine thermal and acoustic-structural relations.
The PLM department also held several meetings between representatives of IGA Technologies and microclimate specialists from the Rolling Stock Administration and design bureau «Urban Transport Complex » where the issues of comfortable passenger placement in the vehicles were being discussed. The specialists of Unitsky String Technologies Co. were demonstrated how to conduct a calculation cycle on the basis of the platform to modulate the movement of air flows in the passenger cabin. In the future, this will save time and resources on testing in reality.
From the beginning of 2020, at the production site, there have been carried out works on optimization of electronic coordination and issuing of working design documentation on the basis of 3DExperience platform. For this purpose, the PLM department has conducted a field seminar with chiefs of design bureaux, on which there was discussed work with a uniform digital breadboard model of large assemblages of track structure elements, and documentation updating by means of 3DExperience. Earlier, the documentation was given out by service notes and pdf-files through program 1C, now – through platform 3DExperience and process of electronic coordination Change Action in the form of digital drawings and models.
