There has been a week of «Urban and Rural Development» at the global EXPO 2020 in Dubai. The news about it was published on the website of Agenzia Giornalistica Italia (AGI). In the material, there was also mentioned the transport company Unitsky String Technologies Inc.
During the «Urban and Rural Development» week, representatives of companies and organisations from around the world presented solutions that will improve the lives of people in cities and beyond them. Speakers paid particular attention to development of new generation railways and ropeways.
According to journalists, one of such technologies is being tested by the Belarusian company Unitsky String Technologies inc. The testing is taking place in the United Arab Emirates at the $14- million Testing Centre.
The Unitsky String Technologies Inc. transport is electrically powered and can cover long distances at speeds of up to 500 km/h. Such a performance is just right for the conditions of the United Arab Emirates. That’s what Nasser Majid Al-Qasimi, Assistant Undersecretary for the Infrastructure and Transport Sector at the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, says:
«Historically, we have always had to deal with a large shortage of water, large and dangerous distances between different settlements. This place also symbolically embodies the future challenges of mobility, balancing between environmental, economic and social sustainability».
