In the July issue of the Belarusian newspaper «Zvyazda» there appeared a big article devoted to the problems of industrialization of near space. The journalists of the publication have analyzed the project of the General Planetary Vehicle (GPV), a geocosmic aircraft covering the planet in the equatorial plane.
Despite the fact that the idea of creating the GPV began to be developed by Anatoliy Yunitskiy back in the 1970s, today it does not lose its relevance and is becoming increasingly attractive to the space industry.
As the author of the article notes, «the removal of industry from the Earth’s borders will radically improve our common habitat, the Earth’s biosphere, especially in industrial regions, without any restrictions on production growth».
