Engineers of SkyWay project designing organization are already involved in creation of specific projects for Indonesia. The details of the projеcts will be announced in future. At current moment PT. SkyWay Technologies Indonesia established after RailwayTech Indonesia 2017 actively collaborates with several state and private institutions such as PT. Jorong Port Development with the assistance of University of Indonesia, LAPI ITB, Gadjah Mada University. SkyWay sees Indonesia as one of main markets and establishes collaboration with national programs like “Golden Village” and National Strategic Program in some ports and tourism development areas.

The team caught the early flight to University of Gadjah Mada (UGM) Hall in Yogyakarta. One of historical city, about 520 km away from Jakarta. The signing of MoU is done at 08.00 WIB. The oldest and biggest campus in Indonesia is now ready to escort its “landing” of several SkyWay projects in Indonesia from the side of scientific studies and the preparation of technology adoption. The campus which is alma mater of Country Director PT. SkyWay Technologies Indonesia, Madinatul Fadhilah, welcomes these partners with great enthusiasm. Vice Rector for Cooperation and Alumni, Dr. Paripurna Sugarda, SH, MHum, LLM, representing UGM, expressed his gratitude for being “back home”, in social media status a week ago while receiving SkyWay Indonesia’s initial visit.

UGM is the third university, after UI and ITB through PT. LAPI ITB, which has signed a partnership with SkyWay in non-commercial terms. The plan in its scientific studies, SkyWay will be supported by the expert team from the Center for Transportation & Logistics Studies UGM (PUSTRAL UGM) and PT. Cantaka Nusantara Perkasa as a company that helps SkyWay in preparing its field data. In addition to the ceremonial event signing the Memorandum of Understanding, SkyWay Indonesia also launched a CSR program in the form of scholarships and apprenticeship program for final year students in this multinational company.

SkyWay itself is currently in Indonesia has been working with several parties either government, private or with community empowerment institutions. Madinatul, Country Director of PT. states: “We should together build a synergy for a better Indonesia. Working across sectors and involving all elements of the nation to provide the solutions to the motherland should be our priority. Indonesia is expected to be able to adopt this technology. It is a hope to make Indonesia as a center of research, development, and manufacturing in Southeast Asia. Indonesia will no longer be viewed as a market for tech giants, but being the owner of the technology giant”.
