The running tests of the 48-seat bi-rail unibus U4-220-Т2 have been continuing on the territory of the testing and demonstration centre of the SkyWay technology – EcoTechnoPark. During the tests, the specialists of the project organization are checking the vehicle’s compliance with the technical characteristics and the calculated parameters.
The SkyWay bi-rail unibus U4-220-T2 with a total capacity of 48 people, consists of two transport modules. Having such a vehicle on the transport line in peak hours, allows to significantly increase its productivity in both directions and to increase this indicator up to 170,000 passengers per hour.
An independent accredited organization, in cooperation with the Office of Testing, Certification and Standardization, and Design Support from the Rolling Stock Directorate, is conducting the tests of the sample for compliance with the technical design and the design documentation.
The mass-dimensional characteristics tests, the strength and the tests for electrical safety have already been completed. Recently, the specialists have begun to test the traction and energy indicators of the 48-seat unibus.
Brief specification: Unibus U4-220-T2 is intended for passenger transportation on the urban and suburban routes on the the bi-rail track of the rail-string flyover with continuous ring traffic.
