In the Arabic edition of MEED, there has been written that Unitsky String Technologies Inc. is going to build a 130-km string track between two UAE cities, Sharjah and Khor Fakkan. According to the journalists, Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi, the ruler of the emirate of Sharjah, is interested in the project.

There are several route options under consideration, which include a freight line to Khor Fakkan port, as well as a passenger transport system within the city.

The company is also planning to build a route of more than 20 kms for research, demonstration and certification of high-speed string transport. Depending on the complexity of the project, it will require an investment of $230 mln up to $580 mln.

In addition, the journalists note that Unitsky String Technologies Inc. has recently completed the first phase of the freight and passenger transport system in the UAE and is ready to go to market. The company plans to increase the number of targeted projects to 10 by the end of 2022.
